Dell launches Alienware X15 R2 and X17 R2 gaming laptops in India

Dell has broadened its gaming laptop portfolio in India with the new Alienware X15 R2 and Alienware X17 R2 models. These are equipped with the latest 12th gen Intel i7/i9 CPUs and Nvidia RTX 3080 Ti GPUs. The RAM offered is of DDR5 type. The laptops also come with a proprietary cooling solution and confgurable lighting mechanism.

As evident from their names, the X15 R2 has got a 15.6-inch screen with up to QHD resolution and 240Hz refresh rate and the X17 R2 is outfitted with a 17.3-inch display with up to UHD resolution, 165Hz refresh rate, and Nvidia G-Sync support. Both are aided by ComfortView Plus bluelight filter.

Above the panel there is a Windows Hello compatible HD IR webcam with dual-array mics, and beneath it lies a RGB backlit keyboard. The one in the X17 R2 are from Cherry MX and has got stainless steel-made components inside for better tactility.  

Unlocking the laptops get you into Windows 11 OS. The underlying machinery comprise of 12th gen Intel CPUs and Nvidia graphics. The SKUs of X15 R2 goes up to Core i9-12900H CPU plus 16GB GDDR6 RTX 3080 Ti GPU. Meanwhile, the X17 R2 can be bought with up to Core i9-12900HK processor and again up to 16GB GDDR6 RTX 3080 Ti graphics.

The memory configuration tops up to 32GB DDR5 RAM and 2TB of M.2 PCIe NVMe Gen 4 SSD on the X15 R2. And on the X17 R2, you get up to 32GB DDR5 RAM and 1TB M.2 PCIe NVMe Gen 4 SSD storage. You will get option to upgrade the memory post purchase.

These new 2022 Alienware laptops also come with Alienware’s Cryo tech cooling with AI-powered quad fans.

When it comes to connectivity, the Alienware X15 R2 sports 1x USB-A port, 1x Thunderbolt 4 port with DisplayPort and Power Delivery support, 1x USB-C port, 1x HDMI 2.1 port, 1x 3.5mm audio jack, WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. On the other hand, the X17 R2 offers 2x USB-A, 1x Thunderbolt 4, 2x USB-C, 1x HDMI 2.1, 1x RJ45 Ethernet port, a 3.5mm audio jack, WiFi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.2.

Dell Alienware X15 R2 and X17 R2 Price in India and Availability

You can pick both Dell laptops in Lunar Light colorway. The X15 R2 costs ₹2,49,990 for the base model while the X17 R2 carries a starting price tag of ₹2,99,990 in India. They will be available through Dell Exclusive Stores (DES), Dell.com, and other retail and multi-brand outlets.
